Paraprofessional Training Fall 2016
As we prepare for the 2016-2017 school year and beyond, we recognize the deep impact you play on the lives of our students, their families and the community in which we live. Assuring learning excellence and readiness for all involves all staff best prepared to work with our students. Therefore we are again excited to offer professional development sessions targeted for the work that you do each and every day. For those who received this training last year, there will be new and differentiated options for you.
Four professional development sessions have been scheduled for the following dates and times. When you sign up, you will receive a confirmation indicating the session location and necessary next steps. Please use the QR code (pictured below) or this link: goo.gl/0pYZv1 to register for the time that works best for you.
During these sessions, all required paraprofessional annual trainings will be offered as well as opportunities for training in other areas of your interest or needs specific to your assignment.
In Article XV of the Master Agreement eight hours of paid professional development are provided to paraprofessionals. The sessions above provide up to four of these eight hours. The remaining time will be provided throughout the year as provided by buildings and district opportunities.
We look forward to seeing you at these sessions as we begin another exciting school year!
